Argentina and some parts of Latin America are finally experiencing a historic change with a liberal and libertarian political force, that seeks to leave collectivism behind and reduce state intervention to a minimum, embracing the ideas of liberty and free trade, with the main objective of repositioning the country at the right place in the world that corresponds to it due to its geopolitical importance and its economic potential and source of natural and human resources. On a larger scale, it is likely that due to its regional importance, Argentina generates a contagion effect in neighboring countries and that finally Latin America abandons the chains imposed by populist governments that have plunged the whole region into decay and poverty and takes a new path of continuous growth, progress, human development for all its citizens, and great returns for businesses. This radical change has aroused the interest of large business groups and international investors who seek to maximize their returns in regions favorable to free trade and free capital mobility. In this sense, Argentina is positioned as a strong candidate to receive abundant investments from abroad in the coming years and, after the necessary and urgent macroeconomic adjustments, to experience strong double-digit growth for at least the next decade. Representing more than 3% of the GDP and 6% of the total national exports, mining is one of the sectors with the greatest growth potential given the large mining deposits that are located throughout the country. Annually, mining generates about USD 3 billion in revenues. The elimination of the direct tax on mineral exports that Javier Milei's government promises large international players who are already actively searching, for properties where they can carry out their explorations and exploitations. At the same time, crypto offers new possibilities for retail investors to finally become owners of assets previously reserved for wealthy entrepreneurs, institutional investors and professional speculators. The tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWA), meaning the process of converting rights to an asset into a digital token on a blockchain through smart contracts, digitalizes, and implements trading of traditional assets like stocks, real estate or even minerals in a secure, faster, and more accessible way. We can assume that soon everything can and will be tokenized, from products to services or even simpler; everything with value. A Security Token Offering (STO) is a blockchain-enabled digital token representing a stake of ownership or a future benefit in an asset. STOs provide an ability for digital fundraising while adhering to all relevant regulatory standards. As a result of stringent rules, security tokens are not traded on typical stock exchanges. 3 This digital availability of assets democratizes access and brings increased liquidity to financial markets in a transparent way without any friction or minimum thresholds, and as a consequence has the potential to replace old securities models that currently require multiple intermediaries and excessive trading costs. In addition to this, the friendly policies that the new government offers towards crypto generate hopes of finally obtaining adequate regulation that allows these digital assets to be issued in compliance with the law and to be traded in secondary markets in a regulated and seamless manner. The Fintech Commission has already presented to the government a new project that seeks to position Argentina as a leading crypto hub that estimates a total yearly volume of USD 120 billion.
